I've spent the last 24 hours (the awake ones) sorting, arranging, and clearing things out. I began with my tatting threads last night. You see my nicely arranged threads with a separate drawer for sizes 10, 20, and 30. There were some real tangles in some of them, and I had thread scattered across two rooms and in several bags, purses, etc. Then today I tackled my chest of drawers and closet. One of my daughters is having a yard sale this weekend, and it was a great opportunity to clear out things I'm not using. I even found a shuttle I didn't know was missing when I cleaned out purses that haven't been used in a while! So while I have no tatting to show, it has been a very productive day.
I hope to get the Sine bookmark finished tomorrow. I'm soooo close! Thanks, btw, for all the kind comments about my effort at this bookmark and my Tatting Tea Tuesday.

Well you certainly have been busy! is that all of your thread? or are you hiding some more.LOL
Well, there is a shallow drawer of the same size that has a layer and a half of size 80 with a few size 60s and 70s thrown in. Then there is the collection of Mettler quilting cotton and some other specialty threads I play with now and then. Oh, and there is the shallow drawer with perle cottons. I guess I'm hiding some! LOL I just showed you the neatest drawers!
Good for you! I'm not quite that ambitious, but my daughter and I have started putting our houses in order this week by choosing one thing a day to give away or throw away... so far: 11 empty boxes, 3 bags of no-longer-worn clothing, and all make-up and lotions not used in over a year Today's task... shoes! I have a lot to plow through before I can put my threads in order!
I think you are doing very well, Diane! We just started on opposite ends of the task. I started with my thread first as motivation to get the end-of-summer cleaning started.
I am seriously drooling over your thread stash!

do you participate in the thread exchange? you post what you are willing to share and can request from what others have or wait for them to request from you. we exchange 12 yards. it is fun and through it I met other tatters, learned to shuttle tat, (used to do needle tatting) and am going to Tat Days.
meg7, it is one of those events I've been thinking of participating in, but I haven't gotten round to it yet. My to-do list just keeps getting longer rather than shorter as summer winds to a close. Congratulations on learning to use the shuttle and have fun at Tat Days.
