Little sister also wanted in on the fun. In fact, she has been very interested in my tatting lately. So here she is playing with some thread and one of my Tatsy shuttles.
I've been battling a migraine since early afternoon so I'm working in near darkness this evening. Since that is not enough light for good photos, there won't be any visual updates on my tatting projects today. I've already trashed the lasted project which was an expanded version of Mary Konior's Spinning Wheel Glass Mat. I've seen a couple of successful expansions of the pattern to twice it's size by increasing the number of rings per round, but I discovered that there is a definite limit to how far one can take that idea. I tried increasing the number of rings by five which was a disaster. It circles back around on itself too much. If I had thought that out well before I started tatting, I would have realized it without putting the idea in thread. I don't think very quickly or clearly before or during a migraine, so I'm blaming it all on the headache.

Adorable little ones, and so cool that they want to tat!!! :)
Praying your migraine goes away!!!
How cute! There's nothing wrong with getting them started early! I hope your migraine goes away quickly.
I think it's fine to trash some projects, you got to try out ideas, and it would make you stay awake wondering how it would work out. My sister in law got some migraines from a milk allergy maybe note what happened before it started. I don't get them but people around me get them sorry to give advice free Lance :) adorable little ones I can't wait to start mine.
Thank you all so much for the encouragement. As I figured, my grandson's interest was not strong enough to stand the test of practice, but I told him that's fine. If he wants to do it again some time, he can just let me know. The one-year old is just enjoying have a shuttle and thread of her own while grandmommy tats.
Madtatter80, this one was triggered by a change in the weather. I've had migraines for as long as I can remember. I've identified my triggers and manage them fairly well. Weather is something I just can't do anything about though. I don't mind advice. It's always possible someone will suggest something I haven't considered or tried. Thank you for sharing. I'm glad your sister-in-law was able to figure out the cause of hers.
Good thing to start young, even if they're not up to figuring it all out immediately.
