Seeking a pattern

Hello, everyone. I'm terrible at keeping up with my blog when I'm working, but I do tat a little. Remember the ring pillow for the wedding last May? Well, now I'm tatting pictures for the room of the new baby due in April. I've finished Inga Madsen's "Princess and the Pea" and I'm doing "Thumbelina" from that same book of patterns--12 Tatted Fairy-Tales. But I need a third picture that fits a princess theme. I'm open to suggestions. My daughter suggested a slipper to represent Cinderella, but I can't think of any sources of a slipper pattern. So please post your suggestions for the third picture.

I'll post Thumbelina as soon as she is finished. Sorry about the shadow on this one. Do you see the little green pea?

Every princess needs a tiara.

If you can't find a slipper pattern, maybe you could tat a picture of a crown (with lots of sparkly beads). Every princess needs a pretty crown.

What about a crown. or if you were really wanting to do the glass slipper, maybe designing it by drawing then filling it in. or a frog? (princess and the frog) or a pumpkin with wheels? or crinoline lady for lil miss muffet

That is a great question, I have not seen any non 3-d tatted shoe that you could frame, I have seen some beautiful carousel horse tatted lace pictures. I would love to invent this slipper but you probably don't have the time to wait for it :) let us know if you find one and would love to see a post of the others you have made sounds wonderful!

I can't think of any right now, but if one comes to mind I'll be sure to let you know!

I will definitely post some pictures. Had to upgrade iPhoto before it would take the pictures from my phone. Hopefully, I'll be able to add the complete Princess and the Pea sometime today. Nothing has been framed yet. I want to get them all tatted, scan them, and then take the scans with me to shop for the frames.

Hi Linda,
Don't know where to find a pattern for slippers but if you are going with the magic fairy tale theme, Jane Eborall has a sweet fairy, or Martha Ess has a lovely unicorn or you can always do the little mermaid... both Jane and Martha have patterns for a mermaid.

Thanks for all of your help. I've ordered Martha's book with the dragon, knight, and unicorns. My daughter liked several ideas from that book. So thank you all very much!
