Eleventh Day of December

I'm just now catching up on my goal for the Craftree Challenge of tatting all 24 snowflakes from Lene Bjorn's 24 Snowflakes in Tatting this year. My personal goal has been two snowflakes a month, and I didn't tat any of them in June. I've been needing simple projects for my tatting time lately, and the Eleventh and Twelfth of December qualify.
Motif #3 for 2nd 25 Motif Challenge of 2016
DMC Cebelia size 30 in white
just over 8 cm in diameter
I decreased the size of the picots.

Pretty. That's a great idea--two a month.

Nice! I hear you! I need to have some small, doable tatting projects ... Getting overwhelmed with the big ones...

Very pretty ! Small projects are like welcome pauses :-)
I love the opportunity to experiment they provide.

Lovely snowflake, yes you did do the same as me doing smaller picots, and I think it looks better with smaller ones,
Personally I prefer small picots unless I am doing a group of different sizes, large picots look ungainly, I am behind as I only did one and half in June, I have another one to blog soon, which I finished last night

This is a pretty snowflake. What will you do with them once they're all tatted?

Thank you all so much.

muskaan, I agree that they could provide the opportunity to experiment, but I more often use them as a break from projects that require more mental attention. If I'm experimenting I'm going to have to pay more attention. ;) I'm determined to do more of that with small projects though. I just have to plan it out if it is going to happen.

Margaret, I like larger picots for some projects. I guess I make the decision project to project. It depends entirely upon the look I want to achieve and the functionality I want in the finished project.

Suzanne, I will most likely give them this Christmas.
