A potential new tatter

Earlier this week, I had the opportunity to meet clothing designer Linda Rowe Thomas who lives in central Arkansas. When she expressed an interest in learning to tat, I told her about all of the wonderful resources online for beginners and gave her the address of my blog to use as a starting point. You can see some of her designs in her gallery. I look forward to seeing some tatted elements in some of her pieces.

Ooo, wouldn't that be great, to have tatting on some of her clothes? Her designs are very elegant.

Not going to teach her, I am doing tatting lessons at a local wool shop and at the moment I have four in a beginners class, actually I find interesting how other people learn, this is my second group this year I had two in my last session of eight weeks. Hopefully by the end of these eight weeks there will be six new tatters.

If we lived closer together, I would certainly have offered to teach her personally. She knows how to reach me if she needs some help, but Ms. Thomas is one of those people who accomplishes what she sets out to accomplish. If she is determined to learn to tat, she will tat.
